What is a Reading App?

When someone says Reading App, they could mean almost anything. For most people, it is an app in which you can simply read a book. 

For the purpose of this project, we are looking at apps that help foster students literacy skills. We are looking at apps that develop students ability to read, and also their reading comprehension skills, and phonological and phonemic awareness. 

Reading apps are what we can use in classrooms to allow students to continue to grow, develop, and become fluent readers. These apps can be used in individual, small group, or whole group instruction, and can also be used specifically to benefit students with special needs. 

Reading apps are excellent tools for the classroom and should be chosen carefully to benefit your students specific needs.
